On this Holy Day I want to share our special Holy Family.
They have been with me since I moved into my house in 2003. I bought the beige sculptures and lovingly painted each one and made special clothing for them. My beloved Australian Shepherd was at my side and we were filled with Love and Devotion to Mary, Joseph, and Baby Jesus.
After Brutie Boy died in 2017, our beloved little Hopie Boy stepped in to share the adoration. I made a video of him kissing Baby Jesus, who was dressed in a Baby GAP hoodie robe and had a little golden bell in His hand. It was so very precious.
This Christmas Eve our Holy Family are on the dining room table, surrounded by colored lights on the windows and a view of more lights and decorations outside. They are so life-like, and I have the great pleasure of kissing each one as I go about the day’s tasks.
I took this photo early the other morning – the light was perfect. Instead of Joseph holding the traditional lantern, my child-like spirit led me to replace it with a beautiful Navajo dream catcher. As I was looking through my camera lens, I noticed the Navajo painting on the wall – which fit well with the dream catcher. Finally, I added the menorah to honor my husband’s tradition. In the far background there is a view of my Grandmother’s Victrola from her Wyoming ranch in the late 1800’s.
I wanted to share my tradition with all my Followers and new people that drop by. I know that around the world and within our LinkedIn community, each of you have your own family traditions and religions.
Our differences are good. We have each been given a special destiny and purpose; we each are influenced by the traditions and beliefs of our families.
I rejoice in our differences and respect them. We also have so very much in common. We search for love and acceptance. We have struggles and hardships. We all want to experience personal growth, purpose in our lives. We desire to be accepted for who and what we are.
My family and I send Prayers, Love, Support, and Admiration for each of you.
May you be blessed, safe, well fed, loved and honored.
