Wow! It’s been a really long time since I have posted on my YouTube channel, and I am so glad to be back.
2025 was a very long and hard year for me on my Pancreatic cancer journey. Most of the year was spent on 2 different types of chemotherapies – when my cancer had returned to my Liver and invaded my Abdominal cavity.
I wrote an article on my LinkedIn page that “My SELF Had Been Abducted in 2025.” The side effects of those drugs were so bad, for so long, that I lost a sense of my Self. I took 2 months off chemo and loaded my 4-month-old Australian puppy, Lakota Joy, into my car and made the 2-day road trip to our second home in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
The first month was dream-like good, the second month I realized I could no longer manage such a large property and decided to put it on the market. It was a huge relief. Meanwhile, my cancer returned to my liver, started growing in my umbilicus (belly button), my brain.
Upon my return to Santa Monica, I transferred my cancer treatment to City of Hope Lennar Cancer Center in Irvine, and started 10 rounds of radiation to my umbilicus, then 5 days of radiation to my brain, followed by Gemsar 1/2 dose chemotherapy every 2 weeks., for 4 rounds.
CT Abdomen/Pelvis and Brain scan on 12-23-2025 revealed the tumors in my liver were larger, there were new tumors in my abdominal cavity, and the Gemsar was not really working.
This may all sound very dismal and depressing – I can vouch that I had days of these feelings, but the reality is that I AM ALIVE, I AM HEALING, GOD IS WONDERFUL, I AM STRONG, RESILIENT, AND POWERFUL and I KEEP BOUNCING BACK!!!!!
The tumors in my brain are gone and there is no new cancer there. My umbilicus has healed, is no longer painful and restrictive of abdominal movement and exercise. Currently my liver has only elevated enzymes, no blocked bile duct, and is working for me.
I am currently resting, eating, digesting, cooking, baking, getting happier and more rested, feeling calm and optimistic about living another year in my beautiful body.
God has been the through-line in my life, carrying me forward through 8 decades of challenges. He always finds a way to help and heal me. I have no reason to believe that will not continue to happen.
I am His Child, His Faithful Servant and I will continue to use all the gifts He has given me to spread the message of the power of your body, mind, emotions and spirit to face all adversity with Power and Grace.
